Another food photo stolen by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).
Chewy Betel Wrap photo stolen by the Tourism Authority of Thailand Sukjai Thailand Facebook page. Here we go again. Same old stuff again.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand stole the above photo from Ponmania.multiply.com – a photo hosting web site.
From the same web is a description of the dish:
Roasted shredded coconut, peanut, dry shrimp, chili, lime, ginger, shallot and savory sauce wrapped in Betel leave.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand also stole some of the text from Komchadluek.net.
I posted a comment to the Ponmania.multiply.com photo with a link to the Sukjai Thailand Facebook page where the Tourism Authority of Thailand posted it.
This is, according to translation and according to the Tourism Authority of Thailand, some sort of healthy snack. Now, what this has to do with tourism is beyond me. I really don’t think that anyone is rushing off to book a flight to Thailand to eat some betel leaves.
But, this is how the Tourism Authority of Thailand markets. They post a stolen photo of food and thinks this will somehow attract tourists. Totally clueless at TAT.
Maybe it is because they just returned from their lunch break and wanted to post a ripped-off photo of what they had to eat. Who knows?
This makes two food photos stolen by the Tourism Authority of Thailand today.
