Tourism Authority Of Thailand Pattaya Does Not Understand Facebook

Tourism Authority Of Thailand Pattaya Does Not Understand Facebook

Here is a perfect example of the Tourism Authority of Thailand not having a clue about Facebook.

Since the Tourism Authority of Thailand multiple Facebook pages have a multitude of followers, they are being victimized by spammers.  But, they could do something about it, but don’t.  Clueless.

Tourism Authority of Thailand Pattaya

The top post on the Tourism Authority of Thailand Pattaya’s wall is an image that someone “tagged” saying that the Tourism Authority of Thailand Pattaya is in the photo.   This is photo tagging spam.  The post also includes a link to that person or company’s web site.

Here is the complete list of those tagged in the photo:

In this photo: NakuResort Pattaya, ?????????????????????????? ???????, Tat Krabi, Tat Phuket, Tat Hatyai, Tat Pattaya, Tat Phangnga , Tat Prachuap, Tatbangkok Tourism, Tat Narathiwat, Tat Thailand, Tat Nakhon Si Thammarat, Tat Chumphon, Tat Samui, Pudam Noyhram

Twelve separate Tourism Authority of Thailand Facebook pages tagged in the same photo – and nothing is done to delete or report this.

Just checked all the TAT sites that are listed above and all still have the spam photo on their page except TAT Phuket and TAT Thailand (which is not a Tourism Authority of Thailand Facebook page).  They all also have a plethora of spam images on their Facebook Walls.

And, one TAT site, Nakhon Si Thammarat is stupid enough to actually “like” the spam.  What idiots!

Here are some more “photos” on the Tourism Authority of Thailand Pattaya Wall.  See if you can spot the spam.

How hard is it to report and/or delete these spam photos.  There are hundreds of them on the Tourism Authority of Thailand Pattaya page and on almost every other TAT Provincial Facebook Page.

By not deleting them, you encourage them and others to continue the spam (which shows up in my news stream too) and then if you click “Like”, then you really are an idiot telling them it is OK to spam your page.

Not deleting also shows that you don’t know what you are doing and are not monitoring your Facebook Page – which basically means you are clueless.

So, chalk up another FAIL for the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
