Happened to check out the Tourism Authority of Thailand Los Angeles (TAT-LA) web site and see that the TAT folks in the U.S.A. are as clueless as their counterparts in Thailand.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand in LA has a web site that I would be totally ashamed of. What a mess.
Interesting message from the Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand LA office – guess he had nothing to say.
Scrolling further down the Tourism Authority of Thailand LA page, the site is a total mess – nothing is aligned – everything is over to the left side of the page. You have to see it to really understand. TAT-LA. And, I don’t understand why they are a dot com – they should be a .go.th.
They also have a section called TAT LA on the Road – which lists one event from 2010. Maybe the Tourism Authority of Thailand LA office starff are still on the road since 17-20 November – can never tell what is going to happen when you go to Las Vegas.
Thai Events and Festivals also has out-dated information from 2010.
Tourism Updates which are supposed to be
Travel Situation Updates (Official Statements from the Thai Government)
take you to a page with a bunch of RSS feeds from Thai newspapers – hardly anything official.
Then they have a list of “Packages and Promotions” with links to dead pages (domain gone), pages with no information about the promotion, or the prices are totally wrong. Wonderful information.
Deeper inside the site, the info is better organized, but if I wasn’t searching for some particular info on their site, I would have left in about 2 seconds.
I guess it doesn’t matter which side of the Pacific Ocean you are on, the Tourism Authority of Thailand is still clueless.
