Another Facebook Promotions Guidelines Violation by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Khon Kaen.

Once again, the Tourism Authority of Thailand has violated Facebook’s Promotions Guidelines with one of their contests.  I feel like I am a broken record reporting violations weekly.

Tourism Authority of Thailand Facebook Promotion Violation

Despite having sent links to the main Tourism Authority of Thailand (Amazing Thailand) Facebook site and the Tourism Authority of Thailand Khon Kaen site, they both continue to violate the promotions guidelines.

If you look at the image, you will see where the Tourism Authority of Thailand Khon Kaen Facebook page is telling people that the contest to upload photos to their wall has concluded.  Uploading photos to a site’s wall is a violation.

They also state that they will announce the winners on 5 April on their Facebook page which is also a violation of Facebook’s promotions guidelines.

I guess that they feel they are above any rules and regulations since they are a government office in Thailand.  It should be just the opposite.  They should be setting the example and following the rules.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand Khon Kaen Facebook page does not use a third party application and does not list any disclosures as required.  Basically, they do what they want.

I am a firm believer in karma and feel that eventually it will come back to haunt them.  Facebook could just delete their web sites and they would lose thousands of followers.  Up to them.

All I can do is report what I see here and document the evidence and hope that one of these days someone at Facebook sees the Tourism Authority of Thailand Khon Kaen Facebook Promotion Guidelines violations and takes action.
