Copy, Paste, and Steal is how the Tourism Authority of Thailand promotes via Social Media

Once again the Tourism Authority of Thailand has stolen someone else’s copyrighted material.  In this case, they stole from two web sites.  One site for the text and the other web site for a photo.

Koh Yao Noi (“long, little island” in Thai, though it is neither particularly long nor little), is located in Phang Nga Bay between Krabi and Phuket, and is the most up-and-coming destination in southern Thailand.

You can plainly see that the photo belongs to the German web site and that the Tourism Authority of Thailand blatantly disregards copyright laws and steals other people’s work.  I have emailed the web site owner of the copyright infringement.  He or she has to be the one to officially notify Facebook since it belongs to them.

This is not the first time that the Tourism Authority of Thailand has stolen other people’s work.  They seem to think that anything on the Internet is ripe for the picking.  But, they are grossly mistaken.  There are copyright laws that need to be adhered to.

But, the Tourism Authority of Thailand doesn’t seem to care.

I hope that the web site owners take action and that the Tourism Authority of Thailand gets busted for stealing someone else’s work.
