The CRES extended the curfew in Bangkok and the 23 other provinces that are under State of Emergency. We will have 3 more days of curfew but the time changed from 2100-0500 primarily to make it a little easier for tourists to get to the airport for early morning flights.
Reports of lots of buildings in Bangkok set ablaze – some reports say 25 buildings – others say 34. These include Channel 3, Siam Paragon, Central World, one of the Big C stores, and smaller places like 7-11′s and ATMs.
They also announced that anyone caught setting fire could be sentenced to death as this is considered a terrorist act. A bit extreme, but these are extreme times in Thailand.
Up in the northeast, city halls were burned in Khon Kaen and Udorn Thani and up north in Chiang Mai.
Lots of anger but all this burning solves nothing.
