Rained last night but the streets were dry enough for a bike ride this morning. I have had to find alternate routes as the mud road around Lake Nong Khot is too wet and muddy to ride my bicycle on.

So, I headed down Sirichan Road towards Central Plaza but made a left turn at the traffic circle on a street I had never ridden on.

I did manage to find a temple and rode my bike in for a few pictures.

Then, on the way home, I spotted two monks headed back to their temple after morning alms.

Sights from the 21 July 2010 bicycle ride around Lake Nong Khot. I got off to a nice, early start at 0530 and had a really nice bike ride – no dogs chased me.

There were a couple of guys in boats fishing and a few wading and using throw nets.

The sun was just breaking through the horizon and looked like it was going to be another very hot day.

Once I got around the lake and back on the road, I ran into a small group of small cattle grazing along the lake.

Out and about at 0600 for the daily ride around Lake Nong Khot.

It was a good day as only one dog chased me for a short distance.

The regulars were out fishing and the horses were out grazing.

I go bike riding every morning at around 0530-0600 for about 45 minutes. i am used to dodging road kill, avoiding motorcycles, and outdistancing soi dogs.  But, today was a new road hazard to avoid.

I was on the left shoulder and the cattle were being led down the middle of the street.  I stopped, took a couple of pictures, and rode on by.

Out for the morning bike ride and it was raining a little – just a slight drizzle. The streets were barely wet and I had a good solo ride for 30 minutes.

I didn’t realize that my rear small fender wasn’t doing much to keep the street spray off of me.

So, when I got home and took off my T-shirt, I saw this.  Wife is gonna kill me!

Guess I won’t get to play in the rain anymore.
