For the past week or so it has been raining off and on every day. We haven’t had any flooding here in Khon Kaen, but the water does go up and over the curb and drains slowly. Thai sewer systems are not the best.
But, so far we have been fortunate in that there has been no flooding like in some other areas of Thailand. And, it has made for some nice, cool bicycle rides in the morning.
My only complaint is being cooped up in the house and bringing in the dogs to keep them dry. I try to get them out and exercising when the rains have stopped or prior to a rain – but they have also been cooped up. Guess this is just the way it is for about 3 months.
On the plus side, it is good for the rice farmers. They were worried about planting and then getting no rain at all (been a bit of a drought over here) – so it is good that the rice is growing.
