Yesterday, I posted some pictures of road kill that upset some. Well, sorry, but here is more to upset you.
Again, on the morning bicycle ride, I find that I have to dodge piles of buffalo dung or risk having some very smelly tires.
This is a common occurrence in Khon Kaen and other rural areas of Thailand. Small herds of cattle and water buffalo are marched down the middle of streets, blocking traffic and making crappy messes everywhere. The owners do nothing to clean up the mess.
I showed my wife the picture and she commented that the dung is good for the flowers. I retorted that not many flowers grow in concrete or asphalt.
The buffalo dung usually just remains on the street until enough cars, trucks, and motorcycles run over it and make it a permanent part of the street.
