My wife took the mini video cam to the house in Khon Kaen yesterday and shot some video of the work crews installing bars on the perimeter wall, the interior, and the exterior of the house.
Khon Kaen House Living Room
This will give you a pretty good idea of where we are in the Khon Kaen house construction and how much more has to be done. It is just nice that the dispute with the original contractor is over (hopefully) and new work crews are on the job doing their individual tasks.
In this video, you can see the interior showing the main living room, master bedroom, spare bedroom, and the bathrooms. The front door has been replaced and the burglar bars have been installed. Curtains have already been ordered and should be installed soon.
We already have Internet capability for Khon Kaen set up since I wanted to make sure that the day we moved in I would be able to get online. I don’t mind paying the extra 600 baht to Internet in our rental and in the new house for a month or so. I just wanted to make sure that it was installed prior to us moving in. We still need to get the satellite dish hooked up.
Exterior work on the Khon Kaen house is progressing nicely. Bars are being installed to keep out those nasty intruders and electrical work is also being done on the wall posts. We will have some nice wooden light fixtures hooked up soon.
This video shows the kitchen, carport and the exterior or the place and some of the workers securing the perimeter.
A driveway still needs to be poured and that should also take place soon. Work is moving along quickly with multiple teams working in different areas.
So nice to see progress on the Khon Kaen house and know that it will be completed soon.
