On 2 February, 2011, I went to the Khon Kaen City Pillar Shrine with Tom from Isaan-Live to take some photos and video of the Chinese New Year worshipers.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the grounds have some newly planted flowers that look fantastic.
I don’t know who is responsible for all of the flowers at the Khon Kaen City Pillar Shrine, but they are very nicely done, with lots of variety. I only wish I knew the names of the flowers.
They had an explanation in Thai about the flowers and the Latin names, but it was all Greek to me.
But, I did understand that having the rabbits was for the Chinese lunar new year.
So, to whoever it was that got together here in Khon Kaen and put up all of the flowers, GREAT JOB! I just hope that it is kept and maintained.
