Due to an illness in the family, my wife will be selling her dream business – the Healthy Smoothie Bar.  My wife, Ae, feels she needs to be around her ailing grandmother and help out the rest of the family in taking care of her.

Healthy Smoothie Bar

The Healthy Smoothie Bar is a small establishment in Khon Kaen that has been open for about 2 months and was just starting to pick up steam doing anywhere from 200 Thai baht to over 1,000 baht per day averaging 500-600 baht daily.

Ae went to Lek Cooking School in Bangkok for a one-day training class (2,500 baht) to learn the secret of making healthy smoothies so thick they stay in the blender when you turn it upside down.  You can see that this is not the standard shaved ice and syrup.  Ae only uses fresh or fresh frozen fruit and yogurt along with some “secret” ingredients.  She makes mango, strawberry, kiwi, blueberry, and orange smoothies at the Healthy Smoothie Bar.

The Healthy Smoothie Bar is located on Soi Na Muang 19 a minute or so walk from Fairy Plaza (out the McDonald’s door).  So, it is in a very good location with plenty of foot traffic from the mall and also from a nearby school.

What do you get?

Tables and chairs, counter, all the leftover supplies (cups, straws, bowls, etc.), high speed, heavy duty blender, coffee/espresso maker, syrups, coffee, tea, ice cream, fruit and yogurt. I believe she also has a bit of alcohol that she uses to make cocktails.  The vinyl banners are also included.

There are also three freezers provided by Walls that you get to use as long as you continue to buy ice cream from them.

You will also receive the same training that my wife received showing you how to make the smoothies and cocktails.  Recipes, instructions, and contacts for getting the best coffee and tea at the best price in Thailand also will be provided.

The Healthy Smoothie Bar is very clean and also has room in the back if someone actually wanted to live there.

Cost:

All of the above items and training – 150,000 Thai Baht.  Rent for the place is 6,000 Thai baht per month.

This is a great price for a business in an excellent location that is already operational.  With a few hours of training, you or someone you know can be in business.  Ae can also explain where to go to get the business license and the liquor license (200 Thai baht each).
